PM Commissions Three Naval Platforms
On 21st June 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned three indigenously built naval platforms-INS Dunagiri, INS Sanshodhak, and INS Agray at Syama Prasad Mukherjee Port( West Bengal).
About the Platforms
- INS Dunagiri: Stealth-guided missile frigate designed for multi-role maritime combat operations.
- INS Sanshodhak: Survey vessel for hydrographic surveys, oceanographic research, and navigational charting.
- INS Agray: Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC) designed to detect and neutralise enemy submarines in coastal waters.
Key Features
- Designed by the Indian Navy's Warship Design Bureau.
- Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), Kolkata.
- Indigenous content exceeds 75%.
- Construction involved participation of more than 200 MSMEs.
