Project Ganga
On 9th June 2026, the Government of Uttar Pradesh launched Project Ganga to provide high-speed broadband connectivity in rural areas and promote digital inclusion across the state.
- The initiative aims to ensure last-mile digital connectivity, expand access to digital services and create self-employment opportunities for rural youth.
- Under the project, a network of Digital Service Providers (DSPs) will be developed to establish and operate broadband infrastructure in villages.
- It aims to provide high-speed internet connectivity to around 20 lakh rural households across Uttar Pradesh.
