Terai Elephant Reserve
- The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change recently gave its nod to the Terai Elephant Reserve (TER) in Uttar Pradesh.
- It is spread in a 3,049 sq km area covering Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR).
- It will be India’s 33rd elephant reserve and second in Uttar Pradesh.
- Earlier in 2022, two more elephant reserves were approved. These are Lemru Elephant Reserve in Chhattisgarh and Agasthyamalai Elephant Reserve in Tamil ....
