Indian Institute of Skills, Mumbai
- On 10th October, 2024, Prime Minister inaugurated the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) Mumbai, established to develop an industry-ready workforce through advanced technology and hands-on training.
- Set up under a Public-Private Partnership between the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Government of India, IIS Mumbai is located on a 4-acre campus at the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Chunabhatti.
- The institute offers specialised training in fields like factory automation, digital manufacturing, mechatronics, AI, data analytics, and additive manufacturing. Initially, six courses, including advanced industrial automation, robotics, and EV battery specialization.
