PM’s Internship Scheme
On 3rd October, 2024, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs launched the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme.
- Announced during the 2024-25 Union Budget, this initiative marks a significant step toward empowering young people with real-world knowledge while helping them transition into professional roles.
Objective
- To provide internships to 10 million young individuals over the next five years, focusing on bridging the gap between education and employment.
Salient Features
- PM Internship Portal: The scheme is implemented through a centralized online portal.
- Internship Opportunities: The internship opportunities span 24 sectors, including oil, gas, energy, travel, hospitality, automotive, and banking and financial services, etc.
