Country’s First Animal Birth Control (ABC) Training Centre
- On 7th October 2025, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) launched India’s first Animal Birth Control training centre at Jarhara in Lucknow.
- It has been established under an agreement between the Animal Welfare Board of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
- Objective: To strengthen street dog sterilization programs and improve management practices.
