Establishment of National Security Guard (NSG) Hub in Ayodhya
- At the 41st NSG Foundation Day ceremony held on 14th October 2025, in Manesar, Gurugram (Haryana), Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced of establishing an NSG hub in Ayodhya.
- Currently, six other NSG hubs are operational in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Jammu.
- NSG is the central government’s elite “world-class zero-error force” primarily responsible for combating all forms of terrorism.
- It comprises two complementary units — the Special Action Group (SAG) and the Special Ranger Group (SRG).
- It was modelled after the United Kingdom’s SAS and Germany’s GSG-9 forces.
- Establishment Year: 1986 under the National Security Guard ....
