Global Multidimensional Poverty Index 2025
On 17th October 2025, marking the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the 2025 Global Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) report was launched by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) in collaboration with the Human Development Report Office (HDRO).
- Titled ‘Overlapping Hardships: Poverty and Climate Hazards’, the report overlays data on climate hazards and multidimensional poverty to assess, for the first time, how exposed poor people are to climate challenges.
