Increase in Snow Leopard Population
- According to a recent survey by the State Forest Department’s Wildlife Wing, the population of rare snow leopards in Himachal Pradesh’s high-altitude tribal areas has increased by 62% in four years.
- The number rose from 51 in 2021 to 83 in 2025.
- The survey covered Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, Great Himalayan National Park, Sechu Tuan Nala Wildlife Sanctuary, and Asrang Wildlife ....
