Mailani–Nanpara Railway Line Declared a Heritage Line
- On 8th October 2025, the Railway Board declared the Mailani–Nanpara railway line passing through Dudhwa National Park (Lakhimpur Kheri district) as a heritage line.
- This 171 km long line is the first under the North Eastern Railway (NER) to be preserved.
- It is a meter-gauge line, over 130 years old, built in several phases during the British era.
- The route has 16 stations and 71 bridges.
