Recently, violent clashes between workers of Wistron factory in Bangalore, triggered a debate on labour rights vs response of the labours to alleged labour violations. In recent times in many of the disputes—contractual labour being paid less than permanent employees for the same work, delayed wage payment, excessive working hours etc—are recurring problems and manufacturers of all shades have found it tough to get a handle on the situation.
