Formation of Indian National Congress
Indian National Congress was formed in 1885 at Bombay by AO Hume (a retired British Civil Servant). W.C. Banerjee was its first president. It was attended by 72 delegates from all over India.
Moderate Phase of Freedom Struggle (1885-1905)
