India’s Startup Boom
According to figures presented in Parliament, the success rate of startups in India is relatively higher than the rest of the world and there were 84,012 recognised startups in the country at the end of November, 2022.
Current Status
- The data also reveals that there is at least one Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) recognized startup from each of the 36 States and Union Territories.
- The majority of the recognized startups, about 18.5%, were in Maharashtra.
- While Maharashtra had more than 15,000 recognized startups, Karnataka and Delhi had more than 9,000 recognized startups each and accounted ....
