EU Reaches Agreement on Overhaul of Migration Laws
On 20th December, 2023, EU countries and lawmakers reached an agreement on a comprehensive reform of asylum and migration laws, targeting accelerated vetting, border detention centres, and a solidarity mechanism to ease pressure on countries with high migrant inflows.
