Sustainable Industries: The Backbone of Self Resilient Villages
- According to National Statistical Office data, the average growth rate of agriculture (including forestry and fisheries) during the last 9 years (2014-15 to 2022-23) has been 3.7 per cent.
- According to the report released by the Statistics Ministry, out of more than 2.46 lakh factories in the country, 1.03 lakh (about 41%) factories are located in rural areas.
- According to the Annual Report 2022-23 of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, a little more than 633 lakh industrial units (51 percent) are located in rural areas. Among these, the share of micro enterprises alone is 324 lakh.
