CBIC’s Citizen-centric Initiative for Taxpayers
On 17th December 2024, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) unveiled four key initiatives aimed at simplifying tax processes and improving transparency.
Four Key Initiatives
- Revised Citizen’s Charter
- An updated Citizen’s Charter outlines service timelines and standards for key taxpayer services, including drawback, import & export of air cargo, and platforms like CPGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System).
- ‘Ease of Doing Business’ Tab for Giving Suggestions
- This initiative allows individuals and businesses to share suggestions for improving tax procedures and policies.
- Revamped Citizen’s Corner Portal
- It has been significantly enhanced, serving as a one-stop hub for tax-related ....
