​First Report of Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas

On 12th December 2024, the Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas submitted the First Report on Demands for Grants (2024-25) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in the Lok Sabha.

Need to Streamline Budget Making Process

  • Observations: The Committee noted that the total allocation of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in Budget Estimates (BE) 2024-25 is Rs. 15930.26 cr. as against Rs. 41007.72 cr.
  • It noted that there have been wide variations in Budget Estimates (BE), Revised Estimates (RE) and Actual Expenditure of the last three financial years of the Ministry. ....
