Rajmarg Saathi
- On 13th December, 2024, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) introduced upgraded Route Patrolling Vehicles (RPVs) under the name ‘Rajmarg Saathi’ as part of its efforts to strengthen highway safety and improve incident management services.
- The upgraded RPVs now feature closed cabinets in place of the earlier open trunks.
- This modification allows operators to store emergency equipment in a more organised manner, enabling quicker and more efficient response during emergencies.
- Dedicated shelves within the cabinets provide easy access to tools, addressing a long-standing challenge faced by operators in the field.
- The vehicles are also equipped with AI-enabled dashboard cameras capable of video analytics. ....
