Reaping India's Demographic Dividend
- India's working-age population (15-64 years) has grown from 59% in 2011 to 63% in 2021, reflecting an expanding workforce.
- The labour force participation rate (LFPR) for individuals aged 15 and above increased to 60.01% during July 2023–June 2024, compared to 57.5% in the previous year.
- Women's workforce participation saw a notable rise from 24.5% in 2019 to 37.0% in 2023, indicating progress in gender inclusion.
