100 Fast Track Courts to Be Established in Bihar
- On 7th December 2025, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that 100 Fast Track Courts will be set up in Bihar to ensure speedy disposal of pending criminal cases.
- The primary objectives of these courts are to accelerate case disposal, reduce the burden on the existing judicial system, and ensure focused attention on sensitive cases.
- Currently, more than 18 lakh cases are pending across various courts in the state; the proposed Fast Track Courts are expected to provide significant relief to the judicial system.
- Each court will have appointments on nearly 900 posts, including bench clerks, office assistants, stenographers, deposit ....
