Hansi Declared Haryana’s 23rd District
- On 17th December 2025, the Haryana Cabinet approved the creation of Hansi as a new district.
- With this, the total number of districts in Haryana will increase to 23.
- The proposed Hansi district will include 110 villages falling under the Hansi and Narnaund Assembly constituencies of the existing Hisar district.
- The district will have two sub-divisions: Hansi and Narnaund.
- It will comprise three tehsils—Hansi, Narnaund, and Bass—and one sub-tehsil, Kheri Jalab.
- Administratively, three blocks will be created: Hansi-1, Hansi-2, and Narnaund.
- The total geographical area of the proposed district will be approximately 1,349.76 sq km (1,34,976 hectares).
