India Re-elected to UNESCO Executive Board for 2025-29 Term
On 29th November 2025, India was re-elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for the 2025-29 term, reaffirming global confidence in India’s commitment to multilateralism and UNESCO’s core mandate.
- The Executive Board is one of UNESCO’s key governing bodies and is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organisation’s programmes, budget, and policies.
- It examines UNESCO’s work in education, culture, science, communication and information, and ensures that decisions of the General Conference are effectively carried out.
