Modern Digital Libraries in Agra
- Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government announced the establishment of modern digital libraries in 104 gram panchayats of Agra district.
- The project is being implemented by the State Panchayati Raj Department to bridge the educational gap between rural and urban areas.
- It aims to provide rural students access to digital learning resources and effective support for competitive exam preparation.
- Each library will involve an expenditure of about Rs.4 lakh.
- Rs.2 lakh for books
- Rs.1.30 lakh for IT equipment
- Around Rs.7,000 for modern furniture
