50 Years Celebration of Naming the State
Arunachal Pradesh is celebrating its Golden Jubilee of getting its name.
- The month-long event will culminate on 20th February 2022 at Itanagar during the 36th Statehood Day celebrations.
- Arunachal has become full-fledged State on February 20, 1987. Till 1972, it was known as the North- East Frontier Agency (NEFA). It gained the Union Territory status on January 20, 1972 and renamed as Arunachal Pradesh.
- The government of Arunanchal Pradesh has signed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as the brand ambassador and filmmaker Rahul Mittra as its brand advisor on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations, marking the 50th year of the naming of ....
