​One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) Scheme

On 25th November 2024, the Union Cabinet approved the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative, aimed at providing comprehensive access to international research articles and journals for students, faculty, and researchers in government institutions across India.

Scope and Reach

  • ONOS will offer nationwide access to scholarly resources for 1.8 crore students, faculty and researchers.
  • The scheme includes access to nearly 13,000 e-journals from 30 major international journal publishers.
  • Available to over 6,300 government higher education institutions and central government R&D institutions.

Implementation

  • Access will be coordinated through INFLIBNET, the Information and Library Network, via a fully digital and user-friendly process.
