10th Anniversary of Amrit Pharmacy
On 15th November 2025, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare inaugurated Amrit Pharmacy's 10th anniversary in New Delhi.
- The event marked a significant milestone in affordable medicine access and recognized the public sector’s continuing commitment to universal health coverage.
What is AMRIT (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment) Pharmacy?
- Launch Year: Launched in 2015, AMRIT Pharmacy is a government initiative providing life-saving medicines, implants, and medical consumables at 50–90% discounted rates.
- Implementing Organisation: Implemented nationwide by HLL Lifecare Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under MoHFW.
