First State to Introduce Paid Menstrual Leave
- The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the Menstrual Leave Policy, 2025.
- All women employees in the state will receive 1 day of paid menstrual leave per month.
- The policy applies to women working in:
- Government departments
- Garment units
- IT companies
- Multinational corporations (MNCs)
- Other private industries
