India’s First Cable-Glass Bridge — “Bajrang Setu”
- A new bridge named “Bajrang Setu” is being constructed to replace the iconic 100-year-old Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh.
- This 132-meter-long bridge will be India’s first-of-its-kind structure, with glass walkways on both sides for pedestrians and a central lane for two-wheelers.
- Bajrang Setu will connect Tehri and Pauri districts.
- The ends of the bridge feature structures built in the shape of the Kedarnath Temple.
