SARAL SIMS
The Ministry of Steel has launched SARAL SIMS, a simplified registration system for steel imports, effective 21st November, 2025.
- This initiative aims to streamline processes for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and exporters by offering a single annual registration number for smaller consignments and export-related imports, reducing the need for individual consignment registrations.
- This system is designed to ease the import registration process for small consignments of iron and steel items by MSMEs and other small importers.
