United Arab Emirates (UAE) was extended a special invitation to participate in G20 Summit as a guest country during India’s current presidency. India-UAE held a Virtual Summit on 18 February, 2022, where the historic India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed and the Joint Vision Statement was issued.

  • 2022 also marked 50 years of formation of India-UAE diplomatic relationship.
  • India and UAE also participated in I2U2 (India-Israel-USA-UAE) summit.

Background
