National Academy of Coastal Policing
On 20th May, 2023, Union Home Minister laid the foundation stone for the permanent campus of the National Academy of Coastal Policing (NACP) at Okha in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district.
About NACP
- The NACP was set up to provide intensive and high-level training to the marine police of nine coastal states, five Union Territories as well as the Central Police Forces, the Border Security Force (BSF) Gujarat Frontier.
- It started functioning from the premises of Gujarat Fisheries Research Center in 2018.
- The establishment of NACP’s permanent campus will facilitate collaboration and coordination among different agencies involved in coastal security, including the Indian ....
