One-stop Centres for Zero Waste
- Recently, the Central Government announced the upcoming launch of one-stop centres called "Reduce, Recycle and Reuse" (RRR) centres as part of the nationwide campaign 'Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar' (My Life, My Clean City).
- The Reduce, Recycle and Reuse (RRR) centres in urban India aim to address waste generation by offering a convenient deposit solution for various entities.
- Citizens, institutions, and commercial enterprises can deposit items like old clothes, shoes, books, toys, and plastic at these centres.
- The collected items will undergo refurbishment for reuse or be transformed into new products, promoting the concept of a circular economy.
