Reservation for Women in SC Bar Association Committee
On 2nd May, 2024, in a major development, the Supreme Court (SC) directed the implementation of a minimum 1/3rd women's reservation in the posts of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) "henceforth", including the ensuing elections (2024-2025).
- The order came on an application filed by advocate seeking reforms in the bar body’s electoral process and holding of elections.
