SC Directives to Strengthen JJ Act, 2015
On 9th May, 2024, the Supreme Court (SC), in a case, issued a slew of directions in order to strengthen Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act, 2015.
About the Case
- The Court was dealing with an appeal in a criminal case involving charges of rape and wrongful confinement under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), which is set to have far-reaching implications in cases involving minors.
