Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS)

This is an advanced underwater imaging technology that uses sonar (Sound Navigation and Ranging) to create high-resolution images of the seabed or submerged objects.

Applications

  • Mine Neutralization: SAS detects sea mines with 2 cm resolution.
  • Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW): SAS detects submarines and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs).
