Clean and Green Panchayat
On 9th May 2026, Kawrthah North Village Council secured the top national rank under the “Clean and Green Panchayat” category of the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar 2025.
- The award, conferred by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, recognised the village’s achievements in sanitation, environmental conservation and sustainable rural governance.
- Kawrthah North impressed evaluators through clean public spaces, plantation drives and collective village participation.
- The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar is awarded annually across multiple themes, recognising panchayats that excel in areas such as poverty reduction, health, water management, and environmental sustainability.
