DRDO Aircraft Testing Complex
- Recently, the Government of Andhra Pradesh extended full support for the establishment of an aircraft integration and flight testing complex by the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) at Puttaparthi in Sri Sathya Sai district.
- The facility is expected to play a key role in advancing the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme along with future indigenous combat aircraft and unmanned aerial systems projects.
- Under the approved framework, the State Government will facilitate the allocation of 150 acres near the Puttaparthi runway and an additional 200 acres for a satellite office complex and residential township.
