Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0
On 5th May 2026, the Union Cabinet approved the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0.to provide additional financial support to businesses affected by the West Asia crisis.
- The scheme aims to ensure liquidity support, protect employment, and maintain economic stability.
Key Features of ECLGS 5.0
Eligible Borrowers
- MSMEs and non-MSMEs with existing working capital limits and standard loan accounts as of March 31, 2026.
- Scheduled passenger airlines with outstanding credit facilities.
Guarantee Coverage
- 100% guarantee coverage for MSMEs.
- 90% guarantee coverage for non-MSMEs and airlines.
- Guarantee coverage to be provided through the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Limited (NCGTC).
