On 11th May 2026, the Forum of Regulators (FOR) successfully conducted its 100th meeting Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marking a significant milestone in its 21-year journey.
- Forum of Regulators (FOR) is a statutory platform that coordinates and improves regulatory practices in the power sector.
- It was constituted in 2005 as per the Electricity Act, 2003.
- The Forum aims to improve coordination, harmonisation of regulations, consumer protection, and efficiency in the power sector.
- The Forum analyses tariff orders and examines compliance with the Electricity Act, tariff policy, prudent costs, and subsidy accounting.
