Judicial Infrastructure Advisory Committee
On 12th May 2026, Chief Justice of India Surya Kant constituted the Judicial Infrastructure Advisory Committee, which will prepare a comprehensive roadmap to address infrastructure gaps in courts and create a more uniform and efficient judicial ecosystem across India.
- The Committee will be headed by Supreme Court Justice Aravind Kumar.
Mandates of the Committee
Infrastructure Audit
- To undertake a comprehensive infrastructure audit of the subordinate judiciary and higher judicial institutions.
Examination of Structural and Administrative Challenges
- Will assess structural and administrative bottlenecks affecting the justice delivery mechanism.
- Will identify gaps hindering efficient functioning of courts and judicial institutions.
