PM’s Norway Visit Deepens Green and Strategic Cooperation
On 18-19 May 2026, Prime Minister(PM) Narendra Modi visited Norway, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Oslo in 43 years.
- India and Norway elevated ties to a Green Strategic Partnership and signed 12 agreements in climate action, maritime cooperation, digital infrastructure, healthcare, space, renewable energy, and scientific research.

- Focus on: Climate action, Green industries, Circular economy & Green transition financing.
Maritime and Indo-Pacific Cooperation
- Norway joined the: Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI).
- India confirmed participation in: Nor Shipping 2027.
Space Agreement
- Agreement signed on peaceful uses of outer space.
