SEHAT Mission
On 11th May 2026, the Union government launched the ‘SEHAT (Science Excellence for Health Through Agricultural Transformation) Mission’ in New Delhi.
What is SEHAT Mission?
- Mission-mode Programme: It is a national mission-mode programme designed to translate agricultural advancements into tangible health outcomes for the people of India.
- Connecting Agriculture, Nutrition, and Public Health: SEHAT seeks to connect agriculture, nutrition and public health through scientific collaboration.
- Launched by: It has been jointly launched by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
