Strengthening India-Caribbean Relations: New Push to India-Jamaica Partnership
India and Jamaica signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in health cooperation, solarisation, and broadcasting during External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s official visit to Jamaica from May 2 to 4, 2026, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and development partnership.
Key Outcomes of the Visit
- India and Jamaica reviewed bilateral cooperation and explored new areas of partnership.
- Both sides emphasised achieving tangible outcomes from existing agreements.
