Bill Banning Online Gambling
- Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has given his assent to a bill that bans online gambling games and regulates them.
- The Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Bill have several specifications, including the prohibition of advertisements promoting online gambling or playing online games with money or other stakes.
- Violators of the provision will face imprisonment of up to one year, a fine of up to Rs 5 lakh, or both.
