Plan to be the First Indian State with 100% EVs in Government Departments
- The government of Uttar Pradesh has launched an ambitious plan to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the state.
- As part of this initiative, the government has set a target to convert all vehicles used by government departments into EVs by 2030, in a phased manner.
- The government has issued instructions to all government departments to promote the usage of electric vehicles (EVs) by purchasing them on a nomination basis without tender.
