Climate-Resilient Agriculture Technologies
- The Government has undertaken several steps to develop and out-scale climate-resilient agricultural technologies through the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare (DA&FW).
- ICAR, through the National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) network project, has developed and promoted climate-resilient agriculture to address vulnerable areas in the country.
- Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (DA&FW) implements the National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) to make agriculture more resilient to the changing climate through schemes such as:
- Per Drop More Crop
- Rainfed Area Development
- Soil Health Management
- Under the NICRA project, various crop diversification initiatives have been promoted, ....
