Guidelines for Setting up Bio-Input Resource Centres
On 28th April 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare came up with the guidelines for setting up of bio-input resource centres (BRCs) under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF).
What are BRCs?
BRCs are local hubs established to produce, supply and promote bio-inputs, supporting farmers in transitioning to sustainable natural farming practices.
Key Functions
- Production and sale of bio-fertilizer and bio-pesticide cultures for on-farm multiplication.
- Preparation and distribution of ready-to-use organic inputs.
- Training farmers in the preparation of botanical and animal-based formulations.
- Sharing knowledge on natural farming techniques and practices.
- Sale of eco-friendly pest control tools like pheromone traps, lures, ....
