One Day One Genome: A Noteworthy Step towards Better Health
- The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC) have launched the "One Day One Genome" initiative.
- India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant announced this initiative on 9 November 2024 at the first Foundation Day of BRIC, held at the National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi.
- This initiative will map different bacterial species found in India and highlight their crucial roles in the environment, agriculture, and human health.
