Permanent Lok Adalat
On 12th April 2025, in a groundbreaking move to enhance access to justice, Kerala became the first state in India to introduce online case filing and virtual hearings for Permanent Lok Adalats.
- This digital initiative aims to simplify the legal process, especially for marginalized communities and rural residents.

- Applicants can now file pre-litigation disputes online, reducing the need for physical presence.
- Virtual hearings will improve access for those in remote and rural areas.
- Support will be available at e-Sewa Kendras and legal services centres across district and taluk levels.
