President Droupadi Murmu Visits Slovakia
- On 9th April 2025, President Droupadi Murmu became the first Indian President in 29 years to visit Slovakia, holding wide-ranging talks with Slovakian President Peter Pellegrini in Bratislava to boost bilateral cooperation.
- The first state visit by an Indian President to Slovakia in nearly three decades marks a milestone in India–Slovakia relations.
- Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in MSMEs, media, entertainment, diplomacy, and the creative economy.
- President Murmu noted Slovakia’s growing interest in Indian culture and encouraged joint ventures in film and creative industries.
